@TheRealJChubby It's all BS. I spent my 20s working non-union and having my "retirement" in a 401K. I basically only have $800 in it after 8+ years of full-time work. We need unions and we need full-fledged pensions if we want retirement to actually be a thing, but they're not available to most.

I worked at Denny's in college and they had a 401K plan. By the time I quit it had like $700 in it that I never had access to and it's still floating around out there somewhere. This is what people are talking about when they say the majority of the working class owns stocks.

I remember when I was a Senior in HS. I played all the typical boys sports, was a bit of a gym rat & my uncle taught me how to box... though, I was OK at best. So, I was pretty athletic & active growing up. One day my Mom & I got into an argument which led her into taking a swipe at my head. Out of reflex (boxing) I brought my arm up to block it & she hurt her arm. Mind you, I was damn near a foot taller & quite a bit heavier than my Mom. When my Dad got home, she told him I'd raised a hand to her... he told me to follow him to my room to talk. The whole day I'd felt bad for hurting her so, I was kind of expecting the worst. Now, my Dad (like my Mom) wasn't a big man... just under average height, but thick of build... he was a Chief in the USN. I walked in ahead of him & when I turned around, he struck me in the stomach which caught me off guard. After a moment, I caught my wind back & then, explained to him what happened. He gave it some thought & told me that I was quite a bit bigger than my Mom & she couldn't hurt me... so, just let her hit me. Sooo... my point is, that was good advice from my Dad that I've always carried w/me. Speaking to the men out there... you're bigger & stronger than the women in your life. So, instead of retaliating against them when they hit you... try & wrap them up. If that doesn't work... simply walk away until cooler heads prevail. Hitting a woman is NEVER the answer... be the better man.
