About 400 years ago in Edo Japan a samurai lord was riding home through a sudden thunderstorm. He passed a tiny, run-down temple. At the gate sat a small white cat. The cat raised its paw at him. Almost like it was waving him over. Curious, he turned his horse. He stepped under the temple roof. A heartbeat later, lightning struck the road exactly where he had been standing. He survived because of a cat that beckoned him in. He spent the rest of his life making sure that temple never went hungry again. The temple is Gotokuji. It still stands today, in Tokyo. That cat became the maneki-neko — the lucky cat you've seen in every Asian restaurant in the world. It started as one cat saving one man's life on a stormy afternoon.

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

@redheadranting Hating your country is like hoping the plane crashes because you don't like the pilot. I too remember when everyone cared about their home, regardless of politics.

It's easy enough to bring this back. It starts with you. If you don't already fly the American flag on your house, put it on your to do list for this weekend. Get involved with your community and campaign for a fourth of July parade - we used to have them every year, even when it wasn't the Bicentennial. Wear your love for your country on your sleeve - or your boots, or your shirt - there are plenty of fun patriotic outfits and clothing choices. Normalize loving your country again. I recall reading a former friend's post on Facebook several years ago where she mentioned her daughter had said that when she sees an American flag flying on someone's home she knew they were racists - and the mother shared this story because she was proud of her daughter for this recognition. There's nothing wrong with loving your country. It does not make you a racist or a bigot. It makes you someone who understands and is grateful for the wisdom of our Founding Fathers. That's to be celebrated. Don't let anyone shame you for loving your country.

Oh man there are way too many to pick just one. Tele-Arena, MajorMUD, Trade Wars 2002, Legend of the Red Dragon, and many others. All text based games from my BBS days. Then the games like Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Heretic/Hexen, The Seventh Guest, Comanche, Descent, Half-Life, Counter-Strike, Dark Forces/Jedi Knight, Knights of the Old Republic ...and so many early MMORPGs that have since come and gone. But #1 is Star Wars Galaxies. That game needs to be remade in *its original form* from the Jump to Lightspeed Expansion but with modern tech and graphics. Now is the perfect time too.

Happy 37th birthday to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Nintendo game, released for Famicom in Japan on May 12, 1989! 🥳 It came to the US for NES in June of 89. I recently got the May/June 1990 issue of Nintendo Power smiled coming across an article where TMNT received their equivalent of Game of the Year for 1989! The game, released by Konami’s subsidiary Ultra, alternates top-down and side-scrolling perspectives as the player guides all 4 turtles to rescue April and defeat Shredder at the Technodrome. There are staple enemies throughout the 5 game levels, like the Foot Clan, but also bizarre fire men and alien-like “roof leapers.” It’s notoriously difficult, with few continues and an infamous dam level that makes me anxious to this day. It gets far worse after the dam level, but I think we can collectively agree how stressful it is between brutal currents, sappy seaweed, and lasers! It was where anxiety for many of us began! 🤭 This is the same complete copy of TMNT I had as a child. I never have beat it, and my dad still teases me for having to listen to the defeat music so frequently! Still, it’s an important part of my childhood (I loved TMNT and still have a little booklet I made from 1st grade 😆). I’m determined to beat it someday! Also, my last few TMNT posts received comments asking where my April O’Neil cosplay was, so I thought this would be fun! 💚

@sarahadams @WallStreetApes Thank you for that. I was trying to wrap my head around how a "suicide bomber" could be arrested after the bombing! Perhaps he is the bomb maker?

Pretty much everything in this clip is incorrect, heavens, Sharifullah wasn’t the suicide bomber, they even had back up bombers in case Sangari failed and he wasn’t one of those chosen either. I think the public is smart enough to know the suicide bomber literally died at Abbey Gate. Sharifullah is what is called a scapegoat, low hanging fruit that our government tried to pin as the mastermind as he was an easy capture in Pakistan.

Kash Patel says the FBI under Biden purposely didn’t hunt down the Muslim suicide bomber named Mohammad Sharifullah who killed 13 Americans The suicide bombing happens during the evacuation from Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover Kash says that after he became FBI Director when Democrats left office it only took them 2 weeks to hunt down the bomber in Pakistan, arrest him and bring him here to face justice This means Democrats purposely let the man who killed 13 US service members killed (11 Marines, 1 Navy corpsman, 1 Army soldier) walk free Who needs enemies when you have Democrats “in 2 weeks, the first 2 weeks on the job — I went to the Pakistanis and got the Abbey Gate bomber who just got convicted last week. In 2 weeks The question American public should be asking is, what was the Biden administration doing for 4 years not finding this guy that killed 13 American soldiers? That's how fast we moved. And so that's how fast you can move”

I specifically requested the attendance of Mr. Nichols and other bank trade CEOs at the meetings we hosted back in February to resolve the stablecoin rewards/yield issue. They refused. I guess the White House was beneath them? In their defense, I wouldn’t want to have to defend their position in public either.

American Bankers Association CEO Rob Nichols sent the following letter on Sunday to every other bank CEO in the country, asking bankers for “immediate engagement” on stablecoin yield policy. Senate Banking Committee is slated to mark up landmark crypto bill Thursday
