Sometimes the bots & ragebait accounts are obvious: ~100 followers, random posts, fake/no PFP, cookie-cutter bio. But here’s the part that gets me — plenty of them are 3, 4, 5+ years old. Just like Reddit’s karma-farmed accounts that sat dormant for years before getting weaponized for spam. Age doesn’t mean real. Stay sharp out here.

This is politics in a nutshell. “Oh crap! They saw me at Disney World holding a bubble wand. Quick—post the pic of me holding a shotgun!”

A major key for liberty to win is for those of us defending it to be super careful about the content we like, share, or otherwise engage with. The bots and boughts are bad, but the deepfake videos and pictures sometimes shared by our own will tarnish our way forward.
