@WASAmbulances @Ldn_Ambulance How do you get a Carry Chair Patient onto the ambulance or do you have to get the stretcher our to do so?

The next batch of @Ldn_Ambulance vehicles are flying through our production line. There’s been some tweaks to the specification based on feedback and continual improvement. #innovation #leadingtheway

@geeky_gillon @donotcallmemike @EastEnglandAmb @HeyTomAbell This vehicle has been operational over a month and no operational compromise seen as yet. Undoubtedly there will still be the rare occasion where this isn't ideal but #SoFarSoGood

Recently I picked up from a HMP, patient required a 3 guard escort which would be impossible in the Fords? Their policy also is 2 in the back on transfers,which leaves no seat for a clinician

@DavidHi81364246 @EastEnglandAmb @HeyTomAbell Yes, the pay off to get under the 3.5t limit one of the rear seats is removed. The MAN still retains their 3rd rear seat but is a C1 license vehicle

@geeky_gillon @TomWilkes_ I thought the same when they described them as "first of their kind in England", given that WAS built bodies with Stryker self load stretchers already exist in other trusts and as you mentioned SJA

@TomWilkes_ It’s a bit cheeky of LAS to describe them as bespoke when they are an almost exact copy of the SJA design.

Today it has been reported that during our first round of action in England mortality rate was 11.1% above the 5 year average. What they haven’t reported was that in Wales, where no strike action took place, mortality rate was 14% above the 5 year average. 1/3
