@camiloDelCodigo Ahh yes. That wonderful 80s coding style Where things had to be stripped down to the absolute bare minimum I keep wanting to build out a sort of MMOish thing thats basically UIII_Online (I did net/mmo programming for the past 20 years) Then I remember I have like 10 projects.

Working on my #Ultima engine reimplementation and this caught me off guard: Horses other vehicles are not objects. They are tiles. Upper nibble = vehicle Lower nibble = terrain No entity system. No layers. Just... moving the world itself. #indiedev #gamedev

This map is to further test navigation meshes of NPC's, and pushing the map scripting system further to see how to make it easier to make action calls, etc. You can only see this on the weapon pickup now but there'll be more! #LegionofHonorGame #MetalGearSolid #PSX #GodotEngine

@camiloDelCodigo quite simple at the moment; out in the rain it douses/goes idle, but back under cover, it reignites. there's no 'light the torch' mechanic at the moment, as it's not really important. more of an atmospheric feature :)

@clemmygames Yeah, at this point it's pretty much the only way I can play these days. I mostly stick to retro or emulated games anyway, I just don't have time for those long multi-hour modern game sessions.

Thinking of adding keyboard scrolling to the Ztats screen in #OpenSosaria to handle overflow better. Trying to keep changes minimal and preserve the original feel as much as possible, but this QoL tweak feels worth it. 😄

Turns out if you collect every armor, vehicle, gem, weapon, and spell, the Ztats screen overflows and starts scrolling text. You can't see everything at once. Realistically though, almost no player will ever hit this, most won't carry the full set! #indiedev #gamedev #ultima
