TVK is giving monthly Rs. 2500 because we know how much difficult it is if we stop it. The increase is due to inflation and high cost of living. However, we will develop the state to the level where people will not claim this benefit because of self sufficiency. This scheme will continue to be a reminder of the bad economic decisions and corruption that the DMK government resulting in society needing this monthly payment. What you don’t factor into consideration is the frustration with ADMK and DMK’s way of politics. How politics is so far for the common man. This election will teach a lesson to these 2 parties that they can’t take the people for granted and take them for a ride. Nepo kids like Uday and Inbanidhi should be condemned.

4.88 crore votes polled in Tamil Nadu in 2026, an increase of 23 lakh votes compared to 2021. Not a disproportionate increase compared to previous elections. Even I expected that the polling would cross five crore mark but fell short. No euphoria in rural areas. Mostly urban centric. No wave.

I don't know whether it is hype or real. So many people say they voted for Vijay. I'm under the impression the contest is primarily between DMK and ADMK. We'll know on 4th May. Looks like it is going to be an interesting day.

@arvindgunasekar @Zakka_Jacob It increases every year as the total voters also have increased. This is the first time that it has increased despite the total voters have decreased. You can’t compare both. This is UNPRECEDENTED.

A comparative analysis of total votes polled in previous elections shows there has been increase of around ~40 lakh votes in every assembly elections. 2021 recorded 4.63 crore votes and an addition of usual ~40 lakh votes will be around ~ 5 crore votes. It’s not disproportional nor illogical. Anyway, let’s wait for the final numbers around 8 PM.

Tamil Nadu now crosses 82%. Already higher than 2021 in absolute numbers..and more than 10% in percentage terms. 4.5 cr voters have already voted. This is going to be a massive election. 90% loading.
