@BarryOnHere It’s not threatened. It’s that when LeBron fans say he’s the GOAT, we simply disagree. When they ask why, we explain. To be fair, Jordan never called himself the GOAT even in his career. He only cared about winning. LeBron has called himself the GOAT, and cares more about that.

the real reason LeBron has gotten so much hatred for so many years is because MJ fans are threatened by him being better. That's it. All the other excuses they give are BS. This is why MJ stans love Kobe, b/c they know he's not better than MJ. But LeBron.....the insecurity pops right out.

@SSN_MichiganSt That's the strange part to me about being such a diehard fan. Your belief has literally no impact on the outcome of their season, yet you put so much of your hopes, dreams, and, I dare say, self worth into their season. Weird.

Max Kellerman says LeBron James was WAY BETTER than Steph Curry in 2016 despite Steph winning unanimous MVP: “LeBron was easily the best player in the world. Easily. Not close. In retrospect, LeBron was worth two Steph’s that year. He was so much better than everyone on the planet in 2016 when it mattered most.” (Via Game Over)

@BanisMajor The mental gymnastics required to knock down MJ and promote LeBron are crazy. Isaiah is just jealous. He thought he would be the next grade after magic and bird. He was left off the dream team. He can’t accept that he was beaten by a better player who created a better team.

Bulls won 55 games without MJ MJockriders have no leg to stand on when it comes to this convo 90s style basketball favors KD tremendously too 6 is the only thing questionable here, but they’d definitely win multiple
Run It Back@RunItBackFDTV

"If they took MJ out... Would KD have won 6 championships? Absolutely." 🏆 Isiah Thomas says the Bulls would still have 6 NBA Championships if Kevin Durant replaced Michael Jordan 😱 @MichelleDBeadle | @boogiecousins | @ChandlerParsons | @TeamLou23

@jasonrmcintyre @1alvo_lad Some of the greatest to ever play the game played in the '90s. Todays rule changes are really what make todays greats unstoppable. Much less contact in today's game.

@jasonrmcintyre Isiah Thomas says these things because he's jealous of Jordan having surpassed him, not because he's a "truth teller". Ever since he was kept off of the Dream Team he's been butt hurt. Zeke was great, but he clearly has it out for Jordan.

@BPage15 I have no problem with him moving in a way that allows the official to see the foul. I refuse to call it flopping because it's always the result of an actual foul. If he were actually flopping and the refs don't call it, shame on them, not him.

@BarryOnHere Give LeBron the lifetime achievement award, then. No way was he as good as Jordan and it's not really close.

The number of players who have scored more points than Michael Jordan is bigger than the number of players who have more assists than LeBron James, who is the all-time leading scorer. GOAT debate over.

@MikeJP1992 @TomLeonard28 I'm sure most coaches would love to have a career like his and be in his position. He clearly is a very good coach. I don't agree with the superlatives of greatness that get attached to him for the reasons mentioned in my other post. Great coach, but massive asshat.

Not something you hear every day from a Michigan fan… I will always bleed maize and blue. But Michigan State will always be a close second. And I’ll always respect Tom Izzo. Watch this. “Be a steward of the game.” Leadership. Legacy. And that’s why he’s meant so much to MSU and to the state of Michigan.

@blocht574 @markzichterman I only know from water polo. it doesn't slow things down. It actually speeds the game possessions up and there aren't many errors in the timing. The refs and coaches may just be doing what they're used to based on personal comfort and stall strategies.

@canarios @markzichterman Don’t disagree it’s doable is it necessary? Games I have attended slow down due to clock and scoreboard errors. Ads to that and one more thing for refs to watch when they have enough in my opinion. Survey the refs and coaches … not parents to see if needed

Read today that 61% of Michigan Athletic Directors are against adding a shot clock. I have yet to talk to anyone in the basketball community that is against the shot clock. Yet 61% of AD’s are against it. Blatant disregard for what people want. Feels like government. In the same conversation…I have yet to talk to anyone that prefers the girls playing after the boy’s and this is a rule that has been forced upon schools and it is completely unwanted. It’s time that the MHSAA and the AD’s of the state represent the athletes on these issues.

@blocht574 @markzichterman I agree. Not run for athletes, not for parents, but for self important blowhards who love feeling important. A quick google search says 32 states and DC all have shot clocks. Most states do it, it's not that hard.

@canarios @markzichterman It’s also not run for the benefit of parents with opinions! ADs and coaches can advocate for the change if needed. How many states have shot clock in HS?

@blocht574 @markzichterman Water polo has a shot clock (30s). It resets for major fouls, changes of possession, shots(of course), 2 meters (like corner kicks in soccer). Parents get trained and run it successfully. When there are errors, the refs step in and correct them. Totally doable.

@Hoopss You're just upset that you're too young to have seen the greatest ever. I've seen both. MJ was better in his era than James is in his. MJ in this era would be better still. Sorry you didn't get to see it.
