I routinely make the point that dictionary editors are not the arbiters of how people ought to speak. Their role should be purely descriptive. Every sensible person knows that biopic rhymes with myopic, and the Merriam-Webster people have no authority to say otherwise.

YMS can be an interesting critic when he wants to be because he talks about aspects of filmmaking I care about, like the light and shadow. But a movie like OBSESSION? You should also talk about the story. Especially given the discourse online. And he hardly does that here.

@afkmewtwo Yeah I mean that’s the reality of any character across their whole range of matchups really. It’s impossible to avoid disadvantage entirely and still enjoy the game you’re playing lol. It’s more of a way to frame how you think when playing

@canipetdatbear I think the main problem is that like, I don’t play a good character
so staying in advantage or avoiding disadvantage is just sometimes not a possibility, it’s just minimizing the extent to which I am being punished and maximizing my advantages when they happen

@afkmewtwo And once you figure out how to earn and stay in advantage, then you can work on really maximizing that advantage (routing into kill confirms, higher damage combos, etc)

@afkmewtwo then try to figure out which option is better. It’s difficult because it really requires awareness of what every characters options are in a given spot. Once you’ve figured out how to avoid being put in disadvantage, then you can figure out how to stay in advantage

@wondermagenta In star fox you get a bonus for taking out multiple enemies with one shot (a charged shot) which auto tracks. So it’s more about being efficient with your shots than aim. Also it’s your own high score, who cares what someone else did?
