Activist: "Beef uses an obscene amount of water. Fifteen thousand litres per kilo." Farmer: "Where did the water come from?" Activist: "What?" Farmer: "The fifteen thousand litres. Where was it before it was on the bill." Activist: "I don't know. A river?" Farmer: "The sky. About ninety-four percent of that figure is rain that fell on the field and got drunk by the grass. The cow ate the grass. The rain was on its way down whether the cow was here or not." Activist: "But it still counts as water used." Farmer: "By the grass. Which would have used it whether I farmed or moved to Spain. The cow isn't commissioning the rainfall. The rain isn't on the cow's payroll." Activist: "Then just don't have the cow." Farmer: "The rain still falls. The grass still drinks it. The water cycles back into the air anyway, just without anyone getting fed in the middle." Activist: "It's not that simple." Farmer: "It's rain, grass, cow, river. Or it's rain, grass, rot, river. Same circle, fewer dinners. Meanwhile every almond in your milk took a gallon of pumped aquifer water in California to grow. That one you might want to worry about. The rain in Wales is doing fine without your concern."

Taxes are destroyers of civilization and society. They impoverish the average man. They support welfare programs that anchor the lower classes at the bottom of society. They underwrite a gigantic bureaucracy that serves only to raise costs and quash incentive. They pay for public works programs (once called “pork barrel projects,” but now rechristened “infrastructure investment”) that are usually ten times more costly than their privately financed counterparts, whether needed or not. They maintain programs that cause huge distortions in the economy (such as deposit insurance for banks). And they foster a climate of fear and dishonesty. The list of evils goes on. But the simple truth is that anything needed or wanted by society would be provided by profit-seeking entrepreneurs, if only the tax collector would retire. Protesting against taxes because they’re a costly or inefficient way of providing services, however, is in good measure futile. It’s like saying that the mugger shouldn’t rob you because there might be a better way for him to get what he wants. How serious is the tax problem in the long run? I believe it will become less, not more serious, despite the government’s increasingly high tax rates and draconian enforcement measures. The major long-term trend of society is toward decentralization and smaller-scale organizations. The US government will prove no more able to deal with a rapidly evolving economy than was the Soviet government. More and more Americans will see the government as meaningless and irrelevant, as serving no useful purpose.

🚨 WOW. Ronald Lauder, President of the World Jewish Congress, just ADMITTED on camera that his organizations spent $600 MILLION on PR campaigns since October 7 and the public didn't buy it. LAUDER: "All Jewish organizations in the United States together have spent upwards of $600 million fighting this avalanche of anti-Semitism." "Has it helped? The answer is no." $600 million on TV commercials, full-page ads, and conferences to shape what you're allowed to think about a war you watched in real time. His takeaway isn't "maybe the bombing campaign was the problem." It's that anyone who didn't swallow the press release is "psychotic" and cannot be reasoned with. The manufactured consent budget is bigger than most countries' militaries and it still couldn't out-run a phone camera. Imagine being this confidently wrong on television.

The President of the World Jewish Congress, Ronald Lauder, says their influence across Europe and America has significantly declined despite spending millions of dollars for propaganda. Lauder admits the situation has become so severe that he no longer feels safe walking down the street. “Antisemites already have access to all of the facts.” “You are wasting your breath trying to reason with them.”

🇩🇰 Copenhagen's Green-led council is limiting elderly care residents to 80 grams of beef per week for climate reasons. That works out to 11.4 grams a day, which is less meat than most people put in a single taco. A Green party rep explained the logic: the elderly "have been the biggest climate sinners throughout their lives." So the plan is apparently to make them atone for it in their final years, one thimble of mince at a time. Critics, including opposition parties and elderly advocates, say the policy risks undernutrition in a population already vulnerable to it. The council says it's flexible, but the elderly eating climate penance for dinner might disagree. Source: BT, Ekstra Bladet
