The running back room is an interesting group in KC with a lot of the new additions this offseason. What expectations do you have out of RB Brashard Smith going into his second season?

Mahomes having to LITERALLY get his WRs open by scrambling these past couple of years have blinded an already impulsive and volatile media. Watch Pat when he has a real WR and good passing concepts (or at least concepts that work), he’ll dissect defenses from the pocket.

Not trying to take away the awesome recovery of Mahomes but this is for the “the Mahomes ACL tear was faked” crowd… Burrow had his surgery about 12-13 days before Mahomes & he was also cleared for phase 2. 🎯 This is just a normal aggressive modern timeline. #chiefskingdom

@wcarterlewis @theonlydyl_ It was both. His LCL was messed up all year. That’s part of the reason his ACL got torn on that play. The knee was already too unstable because of the LCL. Just because he didn’t hop around on that knee like he did the high ankle sprain, doesn’t mean it was good.

Mahomes’ quick return from this ACL tear has a lot to do with how he handled it. He tore his ACL and got the surgery the VERY NEXT DAY. He went to the best knee surgeon in the United States as well. Mahomes is a different breed when it comes to motivation and determination, but he is getting the best care that money can buy. He handled this injury perfectly.
