A guy asked me out on Thursday for a date that Saturday. Great. Saturday came, and I didn’t hear from him all day until 3 p.m. Then he sent one message and disappeared again until 5:30. By that point, I was already dressed and hungry, so I went to dinner by myself. I texted him and said, “I’m out if you want to join me.” He actually showed up. Dinner was fine, but I told him he needed to communicate better. I’m very easygoing, but if we have plans, I expect more than a last-minute check-in and several hours of silence. He apologized and asked if he could make it up to me by taking me out again on Monday. I agreed. Monday came. At 6:30 p.m. he texted, “You still tryna grab something to eat?” No plan. No reservation. No time discussed beforehand. Just a casual message like we were deciding what to do in the next twenty minutes. I did not respond. He called. I did not answer. At that point, his access was revoked. I gave him grace. He got a second chance. He used it to repeat the same behavior. Next.

As I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness...3 captured constituencies that republicans lose by insurmountable margins in Chicagoland, and therefore lose Illinois. 1. Blacks. Good luck with that. Complain all you want, but you lose like 90-10 in that demo. Bright side? It can only get better, because it definitely can't get worse. Maybe stop fucking with the voting rights act, its kind of important to them. 2. Union workers, especially public sector unions. Jobs, pensions, household economics for nearly 1 Million Illinois families and the GOP can't hate them harder. That's not just votes, its campaign volunteers. Figure that one out. 3. College educated middle and upper middle class whites. That's another 90-10 group you lose just because you're mostly white, rural and Christian. They'll vote for a bag of baseballs against whoever you've got and its like a dopamine shot for them. Groups 1 & 2, its straight economics. Group 3? It's moral. Your candidates don't appeal to them (Darren Bailey LO fucking L), your economic policy is a net negative for most of these groups and, frankly, you don't like them and they don't like you. I hope that clears thing up a bit.

How is the democrat party able to repeatedly convince its base in Illinois to keep voting for them, with no promises ever kept, no wins ever delivered, violent crime rising, taxes raised every time they blink their eyes, and the next campaign promising to fix everything they caused in their current/previous term? Illinois… every single election. Show up. Throw them out. It’s long past time.
