My late uncle, Earl Crowder, played in this game for #OU. According to family lore, he got knocked out of the game by a cheap shot from a Tennessee Vol.

Happy Birthday to the late Thomas E. Stidham, out of Checotah, Oklahoma; Left a lasting mark on @OU_Football as the head coach who led the Sooners to their first-ever postseason game, the 1939 @OrangeBowl —during his four-year tenure from 1937 to 1940, he maintained a stellar 27-8-3 ( .750 winning percentage) which was the highest for any @OU_Football coach in several decades at that time—he served as a bridge between the early eras of @OU_Football and the legendary Bud Wilkinson era, as his former player and assistant Dewey “Snorter” Luster succeeded him; 3-25-1905 to 1-29-1964 #BoomerSooner🅾️

This is Stan. He is the guardian of the stairs. It's his first day and he's a little nervous. Really hoping you don't try to pass. 12/10

With one of my fav quotes of all time from #WillemDafoe as he holds a metal or stone statuette, “A 19th Century Cameroon, yes? Your taste is in your ass!” And then, as I recall, beats the guy to death with it. 😊

To Live and Die in L.A. (1985) is still one of the most underseen crime thrillers out there. Friedkin shot it with this reckless, sun-bleached intensity, and that car chase alone should’ve made it a staple. Total sleeper classic.

William Holden delivers his iconic line in the opening of THE WILD BUNCH [1969], setting up what I think is maybe the best and most well-timed director credit flash ever.
