A society that doesn’t make things accessible, on the basis that disabled people *could* chose to no longer be disabled, isn’t a society with free choice at all

Even if treatment offered was free, painless, guaranteed to never have negative side effects - people should still have the right to chose it for themselves

A utopian society wouldn’t *only* include tech and medicine that could potentially eradicate disabilities and illnesses A utopian society would be built on autonomy first as a principle, and would cater for all people and their choices

Rejection and dismissal is painful. Being an unapologetic fat and queer person, makes my life harder in many ways But what’s the alternative? Sacrificing who I am, to play a part that *might* grant me an absence of rejection, just long enough for someone to exploit me? No

When that performance becomes intrinsically linked to your survival, it makes sense that people showing you another way would be perceived as dangerous

The queer agenda is literally just promoting autonomy And that shouldn’t be scary but, it is, if you’ve been raised as a commodity. A commodity who’s only sources of love, joy and sanctuary, come from performing for others

@CarrieBeeInNC Yeah I’m ok, thank you. Online friends have been a genuine lifesaver. I just feel quite sad about getting it so wrong with people irl and just feeling a general sense of distrust now

@cara_macb 2/ It’s not as if I’d been giving to them/helping them and expecting something in return— I genuinely wasn’t expecting anything. Reaching out and finding little to no support has been heartbreaking. Idk what I’d do without the friends I’ve made online💗 Are you doing ok?

Making friends is hard because a lot of people seem to only view other humans as commodities I have often felt what I thought was genuine caring from someone, only to discover they were keeping me sweet so long as I was of use to them
