I am leaning towards Max at UFC 326 In the later stages of his career, Max has operated more off the back foot, setting him up well to counter Charles as he comes forward to halt his pressure. Charles rides & dies on his chin. As he ages, this will only go one way, especially against an accurate puncher. However, it is strange how few dedicated grapplers/wrestlers Max has fought. Oliveira's wrestling remains underrated and has seen much improvement. Even vs Gamrot, he might fail the takedown, but can use it to secure the back. Holding Arman in the mount, albeit briefly, it is a level of grappling & size Max has not faced in the cage. Aware that they both fought at 145, but Charles was always at the upper bound of the class, missing often. Fundamentally, Max is a more consistent and ordered fighter than Charles, which is why I will still pick him
