Design isn’t disappearing. It’s just getting harder to fake. The shiny layer is getting swallowed by automation. Good. That was never the real work. Design isn’t pixels. It’s clarity. Intent. It’s the thinking underneath the doing. Voice? No UI? AI agents? Still design. Still human. Still messy. Invisible doesn’t mean unintentional. Less interface = more risk. The fewer signals you give, the sharper your design thinking must be. Templates won’t save you. Prompting won’t save you. Only clarity will. Design isn’t dying. It’s maturing. It’s embedding itself deeper into the system. where only the thoughtful survive. Let them say design is over. We’ll be too busy doing the real work.
