The authorities or institutions involved have realized that the raw imagery of fallen soldiers is eroding domestic support faster than the official messaging can rebuild it. The "Vietnam Effect": It’s a direct nod to the idea that seeing the "drip-drip-drip" of returning casualties can fundamentally shift a nation’s psychology regarding the "worth" of a war. It’s the point where the cost of the war is no longer just a line item in a budget, but a physical presence that the state feels the need to make invisible.
