There is a HUGE place for pictures in healthcare. I remember my mum getting a thick cancer booklet full off complicated words. I used the ONE image in it (body outline with lymph nodes) to explain it to her. She got it and understood. Language & cognitive ability matter!

First day back in ICU after a 25 year break 😷

This is such an important message. The ‘Be clear on cancer’ campaign of ‘cough for 3 weeks - get a check-up’ saved lives by finding lung cancer early. We must remember this in this difficult time when many people could have a cough and think there are other reasons for it

So this week over 600 of our staff across @mcrlco and @TraffordLCO are taking part in redeployment training to gain new/refreshed skills to support our core services in the community at this time. A massive thank you to all who've booked on and organised, a fantastic effort 👏
