This is a photo I took of Cajas national park in Ecuador, about a half an hour west of Cuenca at 4000 m altitude. This is a beautiful park with all kinds of different Eco environments, long beautiful hikes, caves, and gorgeous views, such as this one. #twitternaturecommunity

@RollingStone As a 15-year-old kid I had a personal experience with Jeff Beck and his 59 blond neck Strat, this neck I have owned for over 50 years. It is a very cool story, but way beyond twitters limit. I traded him a Rosewood neck for it, and I think he has played Rosewood necks since then.

Hilarious to listen to Newsmax anchors make Trump’s “big announcement” live on air.

@MichaelWarbur17 What I don’t understand is monitors for the backup vocals. There is a speaker looking box next to them, but if they were listening to that the mic would also pick it up, maybe it was at a very low level so not too much bleed… Mick of course had his headphones on.

@heflinhollis I have owned a piece of commercial property in Little 5 Points Pizza since the 70s, and basically have seen a lot of changes in those years, up and downs, and different types of clientele. I was there before the L5P pub that Don started, before that there was the Redwood lounge…

Pay attention to the old timers’ interviews who recollect the area “going downhill” when a wave of apartment construction in the 60’s made the area accessible to lower income families. Problematic perspective certainly but interesting case study in equitable housing access.

Here’s a documentary about gentrification in Candler Park / L5P filmed in 1980 back when prices surged from $25k to $50k. youtu.be/0sQDDw7Wct4

@heflinhollis I am also familiar with several people interviewed in this film, of course Don Bender, who has been a pivotal force in the neighborhood for many decades and is still involved. Nice to see him in his younger years.

The 20-something professionals being vilified for causing change in 1980 are now 70-something retirees fighting to keep 20-something’s from changing the neighborhood. And those $50k houses are now $1M.

@heflinhollis I am very familiar with the Director of this film, Gary Moss, as I worked under him for a year or two. As a matter of fact, a film we did together, which I compose the music for, got an academy award nomination.
