it was an adventure story about my son and his friends about things he likes, doing things they typically do. and it was interactive. it had decision points where my son could decide what happens next. peppa pig is a 5 min story about something in the everyday lives of kids. we know every episode by now. i would not globally replace one with the other. in that moment the personalized one was just better

I cannot explain how terrible it is to see OpenAI’s CEO advocating to use their own AI product to have LESS personal connection with those closest to you: family and kids. No, don’t use AI to create a podcast about your kids based on their calendars. Talk to your kids, not to AI

cool use case of chatgpt work i heard last night: connect your family calendars and explain your kids' interests. every morning for the drive to school, have it make a podcast that talks about one kid's soccer game that afternoon, one kid's upcoming birthday, some news, etc.

it was better. unlike you i was there. you can't do this every time. you can't replace every story with such a story. but in this situation this story was actually cool. i was able to throw in typical stuff my son or the friends do. we had decision points to shape the story as it evolved. we had a good time.

when i am blocked by missing information / understanding i have to find the right person (which my agent then does), explain my issue in a way that this person understands (which my agent then does), understand their response (which my agent then does), apply it to my issue so im unblocked (which my agent then does) and not be blocked again for the same reason (which my agent then does).

at openai, many people hook their chatgpt up to slack. people really don't like when a coworker's chatgpt contacts them asking for help with a task, even when they'd be perfectly happy doing that same work if asked by that coworker. reinforces how much people care about human relationships and helping each other, and want AI to give time back — or enhance time together — rather than become a layer separating people.

I mean even today e2e tests are this weird place where they are more flakey than other suites, take longer to run, and are extremely brittle Agents make it somewhat easier to write them tho (you can specific things like “the button stays in the middle” without screenshot tests) But the value of these tests is determinism after you go thru the pain of fixing them. My money is that we’ll have more E2E tests generated and potentially maintained (fixing breaking ones) with agents, not that they go away
