🇮🇪🚨 I have just learned who Sinéad O'Sullivan is, & she is highly intelligent, highly informative, & is schooling Leo Varadkar on economics & the mismanagement of Irish society & the economy during the greatest period of wealth in the history of the Irish State. Chef's kiss 🤌
Sinéad O’Sullivan@SineadOS1

@LeoVaradkar You had *checks notes* thirteen years in government to make these graphs look different. Thankfully only one of us teaches economics. You wouldn’t even get into my class 💁🏼‍♀️

Very pleased at this news, but we cannot let our guard down. The deal must be killed and not put on ice.
Martina Bet@martinabettt

EXCL: Labour’s handover Chagos deal is set to be kicked into at least next Parliament amid a deepening row with Donald Trump. Ministers are expected to formally put on hold the legislation, delaying a crunch battle in the Lords as tensions with Washington spiral. It means the Government can revive the Bill later in the next session of Parliament than forcing it through now under mounting pressure. The move comes after Foreign Office minister Hamish Falconer earlier this year said talks with the US meant progress was being halted, before No10 insisted there was “no pause”. Kicking the Bill down the road buys time after US President Donald Trump slammed the plan, branding it a “great act of stupidity”. US sources have even suggested America could look at buying the islands if the agreement collapses. Under the deal, Britain would hand sovereignty to Mauritius and lease back the Diego Garcia base for 99 years at a potential cost of £30billion. A government spokesperson said: “Diego Garcia is a key strategic military asset for both the UK and the US. Ensuring its long-term operational security is and will continue to be our priority – it is the entire reason for the deal. “We continue to believe the agreement is the best way to protect the long-term future of the base, but we have always said we would only proceed with the deal if it has US support. “We are continuing to engage with the US and Mauritius.”

3 days now since 2 men were arrested for the Golders Green ambulance attack - 2 days since they were released on bail. Media silence is deafening. I think we can be pretty sure if they were called Mohamed and Iqbal their names would have been leaked by now.

🚨🚨 BREAKING: Multiple Hatzolah ambulances have erupted in flames in London's Golders Green neighborhood. There is no immediate word on the cause, but antisemitic arson is the immediate suspicion.

For a very small illustration of how hysterical the political environment became pre-Trump II, in this thread I will record everything the BBC identified as cultural appropriation in the year 2018:

+773% Profit. I Didn't Place a Single Trade. Claude Did Everything. While you're losing sleep staring at candles, this bot ran overnight and printed 773%. I've made the exact step-by-step guide to build this Claude Trading Engine from scratch. Free for 24 hours. To get it: 1. Comment "Trade" 2. Like and Retweet this post. 3. Follow me @codewithimanshu (so i can DM you) You need: Claude + laptop + 1 hour/day. You backtested your strategy once on a green week and thought you figured it out. Then the market flipped and wiped your account. Classic. This guy ran Monte Carlo simulations, stress-tested across thousands of scenarios, and used out-of-sample data to make sure the strategy actually works, not just on paper. The difference between you and him: > He runs thousands of bots across multiple coins > You run one gut-feeling trade and pray > He stress-tests for manipulation and drawdowns > You panic sell at the first red candle > His bot optimizes strategies while he sleeps > You set an alarm for London open and still miss it Your discipline is just gambling with extra steps. His bot doesn't have emotions, doesn't overtrade, doesn't revenge trade. Full video tutorial attached. Keep doing what you're doing or watch this once and never manually trade again. You Must Follow me @codewithimanshu, so i can send you DM.

This is Olympic-standard corruption of Parliament. Say you want to abolish the House of Lords but instead appoint more new peers than your four immediate predecessors combined (62) and also kick out a large group (90) of opposition peers. Starmer has tipped the scales in the Lords in favour of Labour by 152 in just two years. It's outrageous.

A fascinating insight into a mind beholden to the tribe. I thought 'how can this person possibly be blaming the ambulance service for the arson' and then of c see the flags, the watermelon in bio.
Janet Kent 🇪🇺💉🇺🇦🍉🇵🇸@welshpoppy2

@LordIanAustin @nicolelampert That yard has no fence. It has not been secured. Costly vehicles have been left over-night without any security. Every NHS ambulance is safely stored when not manned or despatched. This Charity must have Insurance to cover this damage, surely. We all do for our vehicles.

Obviously we should not cede the Chagos Islands. At the same time, we should sue Mauritius for the return of the sum - around £100 million at today's prices - that it pocketed in 1965 in return for promising to drop all claims to the archipelago in perpetuity.

You are a young person interested in politics. You look at all the local parties and out of all of them pick *Sinn Fein*. You get elected and then say this live with a camera running. After the IRA murdered 1,800 people and let off the vast majority of the 16,000 bombs during the Troubles. I just have no theory of mind for this. He should be studied. Just extraordinary.

Wars are only ever resolved through negotiation. It’s tragic that calm heads did not prevail in the US when the Omani Foreign Minister said, just hours before the bombing started, that a peace deal was within reach. And now hotheads in Iran think it’s a good idea to bomb Oman.

Military historian here: this is a widespread but erroneous assumption, propagated by people who don’t understand war. Wars are won by winning them, in most cases by bringing about the military defeat of the enemy. And, by the way, if you think that Iran was going to give up its millenarian fantasies because of a deal with Oman, you don’t understand jihad and shouldn’t be the chair of the Commons Foreign Affairs Select Committee.

Sure enough, the Greens appear to have won Denton and Gorton. We are Balkanising Britain, moving beyond citizenship as our primary political identifier and instead relating one to another as members of antagonistic tribes whose territories happen to overlap. The Green Party’s campaign should place it beyond the parameters of democratic decency. Divisive, sectarian, ready to stoke Muslim grievances against Israel and India. The woman who told her Reform opponent that the Manchester Arena bomb happened because of “people like you dividing people’’ is now an MP. Britain can no longer boast of having always kept the extremists out of Parliament.
