So it appears that the Czech authorities held Zaldy Co for up to 11 days from the time it was announced by Malacanang on April 16.
ELEVEN DAYS.
Yet, it also appears nobody was sent to immediately work with the Czech government to bring him back home.
Regardless of standing Schengen rules, the Philippine government could have certainly done more to pursade the Czech authorities to cooperate in ensuring Co's detention and assisted deportation back to the Philippines.
If there's a will, there's a way. But I guess in this country, that only applies to stealing taxpayers' money.
We are a laughing stock.
