Edmonton tore down its historic courthouse to build a… Woodwards. We’ve ripped out character and charm by the roots and replaced it with things like this. That monstrosity of a library (left) now sits on the town square— a showcase of everything we've become. And in historic neighbourhoods, older homes are being bulldozed for places like the one on the right —renting rooms by the hour. Elections matter. #yegcc

Unbelievable tragedy for Air Canada and all Canadians. My thoughts are with friends who are Air Canada employees on this terrible day, and the families of the pilots who were killed, and injured passengers. We need answers. We know Trump has ruined flight safety in the US so I'm betting this is a direct result of bad Trump policies and not the fault of the pilots. But that's just a hunch. Time will tell. My point is, can we trust air crash investigations led by Americans under this deeply corrupt administration that lies all the time when it suits them?

I‘m overwhelmingly sad tonight on the eve of the memorial for my dad. His 95th birthday is next Wednesday and I wish he could have made it. He loved birthday cake. And I miss him.
