Just an old guy eating a carnivore diet, sprinting and lifting in order to age well and live with vigour. Strength is the premium quality.

@AlpacaAurelius So you don’t think it crosses the gut/blood barrier and can trigger auto immune conditions?

worrying about gluten is worse than actually eating gluten this study gave gluten sensitive people gluten-free bread but told them it had gluten. they got sick. then gave them bread with actual gluten but told them it was gluten-free. they felt fine. 41% of people with "gluten sensitivity" react the same to placebo as to actual gluten. your belief that gluten will make you sick is making you sick.

@Tuluminati888 Whey is used by sensible people as a supplement, we do but 95% of our diet is food. Only fools exist on these things.

⚠️The unintentional hypocrisy in “health” right now is wild... People avoiding ultra-processed foods… reading every label cutting out additives going “clean” Then… popping 10 synthetic vitamins and washing it down with whey protein powder. Think about that. Capsules. Isolates. Lab-built compounds. Industrial byproducts. But it’s “healthy”… because the label says so. You didn’t escape processed food. They just rebranded it. From: junk food to “functional” products Different packaging. Same industrial pipeline. Whey protein? Originally a waste stream from cheese production. Filtered. Concentrated. Flavored. Marketed. Now it’s a “health staple.” Same story with most vitamins: isolated synthesized standardized Built to hit numbers. Not to behave like food. Real food doesn’t come in scoops and capsules. And the more you rely on those… the further you drift from what your biology actually recognizes. This isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness. Because right now… a lot of people are avoiding processed food while consuming it every single day. Just under a different name...

@kevtharris @drgarymcgowan He excluded countries that didn’t fit with his bias, yes. Having read quite widely on the subject it appears so, it also appears cholesterol isn’t the demon he posited. However, I’m not a scientist or doctor, make of that what you will.

@kevtharris @drgarymcgowan Keys doctored the figures and has been widely discredited. Minnesota heart trial refutes his hypothesis as do other trials since.

Labour is trying to clean up 15 years of failed Tory policy - it’s not a quick patch job, it’s a full rebuild. Think about it: you don’t fix a broken economy, public services on their knees, and underfunded councils overnight. It’s like inheriting a house that’s been neglected for years - you don’t just repaint the walls and call it done, you’ve got to fix the foundations first. Voters might be frustrated now, but punishing Labour early just risks resetting everything again. And that’s the trap: constant political resets mean nothing ever actually gets fixed. Same cycle, same mess. If people want real, lasting change - not just headlines, they’ve got to give it time to actually land. #VoteLabour

Forget the noise on X. Seed oils and aspartame and dyes and peptides, blah, blah, blah... Here are the ONLY things you need to do to lose your gut, in the order of importance: 1. Strength Train Get on a real program and lift weights 3-5 times per week. Repeat workouts week to week.

Yet again...high carbohydrate intake did not produce better performance. A new study compared 40g vs 90g carbohydrate in three endurance exercise performance settings. In none of these performance scenarios did 90g outperform 40g. In one scenario, 40g outperformed 90g. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.11… So what does this mean...it means yet another study does not demonstrate a carbohydrate dose response on exercise performance...in fact it shows that maybe lower relative carbohydrate intake may be better in some circumstances. Do what you want. Be informed.

Peter Attia wants you to train for 10 hours a week and take a statin. David Sinclair says metformin and NAD+ boosters are the secret. Bryan Johnson wants you to monitor every possible biological marker in existence. And post about them. I maintain that keeping yourself lean, fit, and strong does 95+% of the heavy lifting in prolonging lifespan and healthspan. So until we have better anti-aging interventions, that's what you should concentrate on.

If your LDL is 180–200 and diet isn't helping, you likely need medication, not more healthy oil.
