@TheRealJamieKay Employers would have a duty to ask new employees to provide digital ID. If they employ people illegally they will be raided and anyone not having digital ID will face deportation. Ppl coming to UK will know they face stricter conditions wrt illegal working,

Secure borders and controlled migration are reasonable demands, and this government is delivering. Digital ID will make it tougher to work illegally in the UK.
