I have always said this because I have experienced it in my life and career. You don't need the industry or circles to believe (or approve you) in you. You just need that one person who will see your potential, spark or talent and you are blessed. Viola Davis to Thuso Mbedu is the blessing I hope many in the creative industry get to have. Anele Mdoda did this for me with Real Talk With Anele. It gave me the confidence to believe that I belong in the rooms I'm in. Never looked back after that.

💔 This is the laundry I did yesterday for another lady. Before I washed the clothes she promised to pay me R300, and I agreed. When I finished, she gave me only R100 and said she would send the remaining R200 because she didn’t have enough cash. I accepted that. As I was leaving, she also gave me half a braai pack and told me to take it because she didn’t want it anymore she said it was close to expiring and she doesn’t cook it. I took it. Today, when I reminded her about the R200 she promised to send, she said she’d given me the braai pack instead because she didn’t have the rest of the money. If you were me, what would you do in this situation?

Today I came back early from selling amagwinya by 9:00 everything was already sold. One of my clients called and asked me to do her laundry, so the day became hectic. Tomorrow I have three more clients who need their laundry done. We hustle day and night, doing our best every day to put food on the table. One day it will all make sense 🕯️

Dr. Mashazi is like Brown Mogotsi. 🤦🏽♀️ She's laughing when her Lawyer says she's a pensioner who doesn't earn the amount that the state says she earns. She says she asks to pay R10k because she earns R33k from her pension . She's busy chewing gum.
