Ieri m-am întâlnit cu niște prieteni. Au făcut un grătar, beri, povești din copilărie. Bineînțeles, am atins și zona politică și au început lamentările, că ne-au sărăcit, că ne rup taxele, că ne fură statul, ce mai, numai nenorociri! Asta în timp ce fiecare înfuleca friptura, bea bere, iar soțiile lor își făceau planuri de vacanță într-o țară exotică. M-am uitat la ei și mi-am dat seama că trăim cea mai mare victorie a percepției asupra realității. Suntem stra stra nepoții celor care, acum câteva secole, ascultau “materialele” preoților despre Rai în timp ce mureau de foame sau de ciumă. Atunci, religia funcționa ca un anestezic care îi convingea că e bine, deși era rău. Astăzi, am inversat polaritatea. “Materialele” noastre știrile, Facebook, X, TikTok, TV ne conving că trăim în iad, deși avem mâncare in frigider și rezervoarele mașinilor alimentate. Cei care chiar sunt distruși nu au confortul să se plângă la un grătar, ei sunt la nivel de supraviețuire tăcută. Noi, în schimb, am devenit sclavii unei manipulări bizare, ne trăim nefericirea dintr-o poziție de lux. Am învățat să ignorăm realitatea mesei pline de dragul unei povești despre dezastru. Se pare că hardware-ul nostru mental n-a mai primit un update de milenii, tot în povești credem, nu în ceea ce avem sub nas.

Romanian President Nicusor Dan announced that he convened a Supreme Council of National Defense today, where the subject of allowing U.S. military aircraft, specifically refueling aircraft, monitoring equipment, and satellite communications equipment, to use Romanian bases in the ongoing Operation Epic Fury was discussed. The move needs approval from Romania's parliament, but once approved, it will allow the U.S. to use Romanian bases to marshal what President Dan called “defensive weapons.”
