From 3rd at Area last season to 1st this season. From going out in regionals prelims last season to coming in with a top 4 time.
Elijah McCown literally started training for this the day after regionals ended last season … on his own. No dedicated or private track coach that he went to a couple times a week, no specific S&C plan, just grit and a goal. He pulled chains, worked on his stride length, built endurance, would ice bath every day.. he doesn’t play football, or basketball.. no, God placed the 400 m and Elijah his heart and he loves it!!!
Running the literal race God marked out for him. (Rom 12:1-3)
He’s PRd in every race this year and he hasn’t scratched the surface yet of what he’s capable of. 📈

Why NFLPA report cards are valuable... #49ers GM John Lynch says they dug deeper into the NFLPA report card, in which the team’s training room got a C- grade. The team found that players wanted more 1-on-1 attention, so the team is hiring three more physical therapists and investing $9M in hydro areas to accommodate players’ requests.
