I'm 48. The demonization of boys and young men isn't new. 3rd Wave Feminism and Intersectionality took off in the early 90's when I was in junior high. Jeremy Piven starred in, alongside Jon Favreau in dreads, the 1994 comedy PCU, making fun of it. The difference is the girls our age were our friends. Still are. We were friends long before puberty kicked in. Starting in pre-school, maybe earlier. The bs came from adults - teachers and school admin. Gen-Z "otherizes" the opposite sex. It goes beyond the "gender war". They act like the opposite sex is not even the same species, from this planet, or share the same reality. This has led to the girls/young women embracing the demonization of boys/young men.

@caseyhills @thegenesisbl0ck Completely agree that’s a big part of the issue. The other is the demonization of young men so they think approaching women is more trouble than its worth. My point with the values is, even if they do get together, can’t marry & raise children with a wide values gap.

Maybe I’m weird, but I never understood why men are supposed to seem more attractive to women if they have a high body count? It’s always seemed icky to me, both because of hygiene but it also seems performative. Am I missing something?

Been following the Gen-Z research since at least 2015, when they first started turning 18. They weren't getting into relationships, having sex, learning to drive, partying... in high school. Pretty much anything the required socializing after school or outside of sports/activities, they weren't doing. This trend continues until present day.

@caseyhills @thegenesisbl0ck Again, do some better research (or any at all). Young Women have gone extreme politically to the left in the last 15-20 years. Men have remained mostly the same politically (moderate). Ask A.I., if memory serves me correctly it was several Pew Research polls.

@wil_da_beast630 7%. Half of the national %. Asians make up 18%, over 3x the national %. 57% white. So, all three races were underrepresented in hte program.

@JoshuaNewm3894 @JimmyLarson1888 @thechosenberg LOL. I have two friends who found women who were willing to marry and have kids with them. One guy I've known for 36 years. Whenever I see them, I always tell his wife, "I still can't believe you let him near you with that thing!"

@koolaidJimJones @thegenesisbl0ck Values gap? Is that what they're telling themselves now? Their socialization as kids was disrupted and they struggle with in-person interactions. In general terms, Gen-Z is out, Boomers are out, Gen-X is 46–61 years old, leaving 30 to 45 year olds.

@caseyhills @thegenesisbl0ck Gen Z isn’t having sex bc of the giant values gap & everyone is staring at screens. Also, women are focused on an increasingly small % of men. More women participate in hook up culture than men. I’m speaking in general terms, let’s avoid the hyper individuality nonsense.

@thechosenberg Last sentence of the 1st paragraph - that's how its supposed to be. A 35 year old man pouting wike a widdle baby. He doesn't care if she enjoys it. This isn't the only issue he throws tantrums about. Her blaming herself and the 1st sentence of the 4th paragraph gives it away

@koolaidJimJones @thegenesisbl0ck I thought I did stating its not 100% universal and varies individually. Its a small % of women and men ho'ing it up together. Gen-Z isn't having sex. Gen-X and older Millenials are the only groups having lots of sex, monogomous. We started early.

@caseyhills @thegenesisbl0ck None of that explains away why women are all chasing the top men, most of which have slept with tons of women. You fail to address this head on bc there is no counter to it. It shows that, even if women don’t like men who have done that, it’s way down on their priority list.

Its not 100% a human universal (varies individually/culturally) but a disgust/revulsion response to high body counts is cross-cultural & serves the same evolutionary function "behavorial immune system" as universal triggers like rotting food & bodily waste. Predates dating apps and the misapplication of the Pareto Principle to sex and relationships by roughly 299,985 years.

@caseyhills @thegenesisbl0ck Not true, the elite men women chase have massive body counts, yet the women still chase them. When women are all chasing around 5% of men on dating apps, common sense tells you they’ve slept with a ton of women. Sleeping with a lot of women also tends to make you better in bed.

I don't disagree . My reply her op: "For Gen-X, this has been true since we hit puberty, and it goes both ways." Our parents didn't teach us anything positive about relationships. Pop culture and each other were our teachers. Our expectations weren't developed by adults or based in reality. For far too many Gen-X girls it was Tiger Beat, Pretty Woman, and Disney movies and for many boys, our favorite muscians and song lyrics.

Fascinating. When I talk to women they want a man who is consistent, thoughtful, dependable, provides. I thought those were normal things. Maybe these men are struggling so it seems "unrealistic"? I'm curious to hear what across the board expectations are unrealistic. I've heard the occasional thing but it's far from the norm. So basically two thirds of men across three generations thinking women have unrealistic expectations seems a little delusional itself?

@RealDianeYap An emotional connection = High levels of oxytocin (bonding) & vasopressin (trust) are released. Nervous system synchronization & co-regulation signaling safety. Lowers cortisol levels allowing deeper relaxation. Greater vulnerabilty and intense orgasms.

I hear this a lot, that "Women require an emotional connection for sex. Men require sex for an emotional connection." But it isn't true. Men are most romantic before you've even had sex with them a single time. Maybe the answer is to never have sex with them.
