Freshman, be aware that if you do something stupid, or for no reason at all, you might be given a nickname that you don’t like. My freshman class had a kid named “lunchbox” because he brought a lunchbox to a fundraising event. I don’t remember Lunchbox’s actual name.

The exact opposite is why I chose @drivelinebases in the first place. Whether you agree with everything he says or not, Kyle has always been able to give me a reason why he thought something was worth doing. He never told me he was a guru. I read the blogs and chose for myself.

Asking “why?” Or “how do you know?” Is a good way to be labeled “uncoachable” or “stubborn.” There is an extremely important distinction between finding a process you can trust vs. blindly following the advice of authority figures.

It has been a while since I’ve been on social media. In general I think it is important to detox, but I wanted to step away for myself. Walking away from playing is already challenging, and twitter can feel like an environment of people telling you how/who you should be.

Excited for everyone to see the video @itstaiki has been working on for @DrivelineBB made from a speech I gave. When I rehearsed it with my Grandma she emphatically reviewed it as, "too dark to give to college kids"
