Since leaving the communist dictatorship polygamist compound of the FLDS, I've really struggled to open up and trust people.
The handful of times I have, it's left me with a sour taste.
With that in mind, I'm making a new effort on 𝕏 and I've been pleasantly surprised with all the support.
I'm immensely grateful for a platform with the versatility to share my story in whatever form it escapes.
I intend to open up my subscriptions (as soon as I hit the required 500 followers, I'm almost there!) to share on a bit more personal level with those who support me by subscribing.
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to my new followers for giving me an outlet.
It's a strange thing to grow up with an entire city of people in your inner circle and have them flip to treating you like a stranger, literally overnight.
I've been building and working for many years since to escape mentally and to better myself and my means to be able to help my siblings escape.
Today I'm proud to say that I've taken on 5 of my younger brothers and we're making strides each day.
I hope to inspire others, wherever they are in their lives, to persevere and forge a new path to happy and fulfilling lives.
There is a long road ahead but I'm trying to take more time to recognize how far we've come individually and as a family.
I'd like to share a quote that really resonates with me since the day I heard it. It gives me strength in recognizing the obstacles overcome.

As in my own life, I've made up a lot of ground to get to where I am. In my career, education, social skills, and emotional development to adapt to a world so alien from where I began.
