@Snickett61 At first. As corporations grow, the scale grows. Defense contractors sell more sophisticated tech for this job, the Mechs become the apex weapon. Military force is designed around the deployment and sustainment of mechs

I want to write a story for a mech game. Build the world, the weapons, the how and why. Not so much the character drama, but the geopolitics. The war itself would be on an asteroid. It'd be primarily a mech war, since at this point in mankind's development, nobody's really waged a war other than with vehicles. Infantry in space is still clumsy, clunky fighting. Mechs however are far more controllable.

@cat_digby YES! The dosage and the ingredient list - everything about vapes is deeply questionable, including big amounts of just propylene glycol and glycerol - in theory small amounts leave fast, but those people never put that thing down. Imagine how bad it can be with shady ingredients

@cat_digby Yup, I also feel good about idea to end smoking. But without banning other products at the same time it's generally useless. Vapes are shady in general, who knows what the hell is inside. The level of addiction I see in vapers does not match any nicotine addiction I saw.

Pragmata tempts me to break my "no Denuvo" rule very hard. It's "wholesome SF action" distilled to peak form based on what I've seen. I will likely wait for sale and go from there. And if I *do* decide to let Denuvo anti-tamper on my machine, Metaphor, Wukong, and Stellar Blade will also be on the list.

NCR are basically USA 2 with many of the same problems Minutemen are an army without a nation meaning their collapse and descent to being raiders is basically inevitable. An army is ultimately non-productive and needs a host to survive Responders are a similar situation to the Minutemen but have the benefit of existing relatively early in the post apocalyptic era and emerging organically out of existing emergency services personel

I had a nap and had a weird dream that I was watching youtube video essays about a scifi future that were just being played entirely straight like the typical video essays you see now I remember one about two spaceship manufacturers being coerced by their respective stellar nations to make a ship design together as a symbol of peace and cooperation, but one of them put in an AI control system to try and prove their technical superiority and it decided to fly off into deep space and maroon its crew Then another one about the USA splitting into three successor states. The American Empire, The American Republic and Silicon Valley With Silicon Valley trying to install modems in the entire global population leading to the other two Americas teaming up to stop them, succeeding and then Silicon Valleys AI controlled robot army went "nah that shutdown order is an enemy trick also our leader is clearly compromised and is now an enemy combatant" Leading to the rest of the world teaming up to put a stop to all this before humanity got skynet'd I imagine such channels already exist, but it was an interesting dream
