@wwmtnews I guess I'm going to have to either pull my daughter out of the last two months of school, or pay out of pocket to a doctor to sign a note stating canned foods aren't nutritious and my daughter NEEDS fresh organic foods as part of her health plan.

@wwmtnews This is absolutely audacious. ESPECIALLY because the school contacted me at the very beginning of the school year stating my daughter would not eat the lunch they provided and I needed to bring one in for her!!!!!

@wwmtnews But sadly, Take A Break Childcare in Battle Creek MI serves Food Bank quality meals of canned fruits and vegetables and nitrate filled lunch meats. A doctor's note is now required to be able to eat ORGANIC FOODS brought from home.

@wwmtnews So I take my 4 year old daughter to preschool today as normal and am told by one of her teachers that students and teachers are no longer allowed to bring lunches. Now, that's all fine and well when the school is providing nutritious, whole foods....
