i do understand and see the value in "owning" the skins/items you earn in-game but to a regular person, this is already what appears to happen further solidified by the fact that users can take their skins to 3rd party marketplaces (gambling sites), so the illusion of ownership is even greater the fact of the matter is, the items for a specific game have zero value outside of that game game item interoperability was a meme and not possible to realistically implement, since all games have their own closed ecosystems and economies that are specific to that game not even including the fact that making skins compatible with an outside game requires dev work that most game studios just dont have or care about - why allow some outside game to capture value that our game can capture? the economics just don't make sense to me, and it feels like crypto gaming is trying to create a problem that is already mostly solved (other than extreme edge cases of legitimate users getting deplatformed and losing assets they spent money on)

web3 gaming will never work because gamers hate crypto and will never touch anything crypto related (they are stubborn)

@_offmylawn same for things like: •onchain reputation / achievements that persist •actual proof of ownership of a game, not tied to a single platform (like Steam). if a platform disappears or you switch ecosystems, you can still claim and access what you bought

@_offmylawn For example, if there was a system where: •rare skins could be owned and resold •players could actually invest in collecting •studios still take a % on every resale that’s literally a win for both sides players get more value, studios unlock new revenue loops

My friends this is my 2025 unwrap I survived a life threatening accident. I became a graduate I became closer to God I Made *^*^^ figures monthly I Made more money this year I Furnished my room I Sowed seeds in church I Got all the things I manifested and prayed about. I traveled a lot this year. I got several big girl purchases I’m still learning to drive I became an absolute better version of myself. I inspired my friends to do better and onboarded some. I sent money home 🙂‍↔️ I became an employer I spoke at my first physical event I hosted my first ever event I got a job with @nillion thanks to @_offmylawn I gave out a lot I connected with people more (especially @Trailblaze2022 & @catdotfish I’m super grateful 🥲 for them) I became a happier version of myself. I’m also grateful 🥹 for Nillion Africa. 2026 would be a great year. Amennnnnnn.
