@MichaelFilipiuk I’m sad for designer A. Why?
He is missing out on truth.
Usually negative feedback is always detailed (I’m not sure if it’s the case)
These days comments on designs are mostly - “nice”, “nailed it”, etc
What do they even mean?

One time a client came to me and it became clear within minutes that we were not a match.
I told him I would find him the right person. I did.
They ended up working together.
The client then came to me again....and again not a match.
It took 3 tries but on the 4th try, the client gave me everything I needed no questions asked.
The trust was built.
I could have made 40k if I lied and said yes on our first-ever call.
Instead, I waited 2 years and made 450k.

"Just get a mentor!"
Not so fast...
You've heard it 100x.
Is it the missing key to your success?
Maybe. Maybe not.
You need to be a certain type of person.
You have to:
• Take harsh criticism
• Be highly motivated
• Always take initiative
• Actually want to learn
• Accept when you're wrong
Mentorship isn't some magic pill.
It only works if you're actually serious about learning + get the right mentors.
You could hire Mr Olympia to be your personal trainer. But if you're a fat slob who doesn't want to move...
It's not going to work.
In a nutshell...
Don't hire a mentor to "save you". They can't do that. Only you can.
Hire a mentor to help you win HARDER.
If you're not winning already... It's not going to do much.
Win a little first and THEN take the leap.

@StroteBook It’s never luck!
Such a view overlooks the hard work, skill, and determination that creatives pour into their businesses.
