End of an era....13 years @Gloshosptherapy @gloshospitals with a stint @GlosHealthNHS in the middle. Living away from home, I couldn't have asked for a better lot of surrogate brothers & sisters than those I've had here, with a few mothering figures to boot 🥰 Time to go home 🏡

Our students were addressing the patients on my ward by their first names. I talked with them and said "All people older than you should be addressed by their title and surname unless they specifically ask you to call them by their first name...@EdinUniMedicine @NHSLothianMedEd

Of our input. When you're fire fighting, trying your hardest & overwhelmed by workload, it can feel unhelpful. Looking back now, maybe I should've picked up the phone, invited that therapist in (can you do that - joint session with private provider?) & tried that way 7/

I read this thread with interest. A few parts that struck me....'no rehab potential' & that actually meaning 'we don't have the capacity/resource to give the input required to maximise your ability to recover as much as possible' Feels like a common problem for acute therapy 1/

An NHS team have told my patient they'll refuse to treat them if they continue to see me concurrently, and that they'd have to choose between me or them. Not only is this dishonest and upset my patient, it is pretty insulting and unprofessional to me. I am fuming.
