@SBSNews Bring our power and gas back under state ownership. Privatisation has caused this crisis as our national resources are exported for profit and power is being withheld by private companies after regulators imposed price caps that reduce their profits.

Queensland is again bracing for blackouts amid forecasted energy supply shortfalls, while the NSW treasurer is confident they can be avoided in his state. sbs.com.au/news/article/q…

@QandA Privatisation has caused this crisis. Our national resources are being exported for profit and private operators are withholding power after the regulator imposed caps that reduce their profit margins. Some things just shouldn’t be privatised.

@7NewsSydney Privatisation has caused this mess. All of our resources are being exported for profit and the power companies are withholding supply due to regulated price caps that reduce their profits.

The government says it can only guarantee the state's power supply for the next few days as generators struggle to keep up with demand. Plummeting temperatures and skyrocketing energy prices are fueling the problem. 7news.link/3xv44Om #Energy #7NEWS

@BernardKeane @andrewprobyn Bernard I’m sure in the interest of fairness the media commentators could at least revisit Scott Morrison’s bigger gaff in February when he didn’t know the price of petrol or bread. #ABCNews

Just watched Sydney ABC election coverage. @andrewprobyn devotes minutes to Albanese's gaffe. Then the Parramatta Lib candidate gets to recite her talking points. Steve Christou does too. Andrew Charlton just gets criticism for being from outside the seat. ABC - cowed, craven

@RNBreakfast if you’re going to keep talking about @AlboMP not knowing the cash and unemployment rates will you revisit @ScottMorrisonMP inability to cite the cost of bread and petrol in Feb 2022? Just asking in the interest of balance and transparency.

@andrewprobyn Andrew can you ask both leaders how many people are experiencing homelessness in Australia today and also ask the PM is he knows the price of bread and petrol - oh wait Jenny does the shopping so he probably still doesn’t know.

@MagdaSzubanski So sorry and I’m ashamed of the governments in Australia who have inflicted this inhumane treatment on refugees 😔

@normanswan The Premier’s behaviour is criminal. Prioritising the economy before our health. Putting our health system at risk and our health workforce under extreme pressure. He and his government have to go.

Got this from a clinician at a major Sydney hospital. “Hospital swamped. More than 100 staff furloughed. 30 covid positive & 50 amber. It will be increasingly hard to do anything else. It’s difficult to describe how furious we are with perrotet. He will destroy the health system”

News Limited better lawyer up. I suspect ⁦@jonathanvswan⁩ will think it’s defamatory to have the photo of whoever that ugly old bloke is associated with his name. I am of course not referring to Kenny who’s a fine figure of a man and so young looking for his age.

@niltiac I’ve emailed you Caitlin. I’d like to pay her her to stay in a house or apartment until she can return home. This is totally appalling.

@BernardGaynor You really are disgusting. It’s simple Mr Gaynor men should not rape or abuse women under any circumstances no matter how much a woman has had to drink or what clothes they are wearing. Your attitude justifies the rape and assault of women and you are not fit to be in office.

@banterbear @TwoPaddocks How about less dead people for starters. Which countries have gotten over the pandemic so successfully without lockdown measures?

@TwoPaddocks Sorry, but define "better". NZ has endured a rigid lockdown for the best part of a year, has no herd immunity, and along with Australia is introducing increasingly draconian rules to combat a virus many places have gotten over now. You are still vulnerable to it all.
