We caught up with Swim Sista’s filmmaker, @catjoywhite , and some of the Swim Sistas sisterhood to discuss the motivation and inspiration behind the film and the barriers faced by Black adults who don’t swim.

This is Woman Life Freedom 💚🤍❤️ I cannot overstate how dangerous and brave this young girl’s act of protest was today. Her whereabouts are currently unknown. May she, and the great people of Iran, be free of the Islamic Republic soon.

In Iran, a woman who was accosted by the “morality police” for not wearing hijab removes her clothing & roams the streets in defiance. She has since been arrested by IRGC forces and forcibly disappeared. This is the brave face of true resistance.
