@catlike1 @afcDW Kepa was definitely a major issue today. Wasn't moving quick enough, causing the back row passing to be out of sync and meaning that the team couldn't deal with direct passes. I think that he's done for clubs who push up.

Brutal. Two cup exits in two games. Loads of individual errors in both. Very few cause for optimism just at the moment. Only wins will change that. Can Mikel turn it around? Big moment for him as Arsenal manager.

@fkhanage @TheAFCLad_ Arteta has to take most of the blame. MF balance was wrong, FBs were getting caught too high up the pitch, and Jesus was not doing it. Failed to address this at half time. His in-game management has been poor and cost us the Carabao Cup and dropped us out of the FA Cup.

A *disastrous* fortnight for Arsenal. Absolutely pathetic from the manager and the team tonight. I’m still so angry about Kepa starting against City and we underestimated Southampton tonight. Eleven good players on paper but very little cohesion as a team. We got what we deserve.

@HarrySymeou Arteta's in-game management continues to be poor. Waits too long to make subs and tactical adjustments. Doesn't head off problems before they become catastrophic. It's a huge weakness in his coaching.

Southampton deserved winners. A poor Arsenal performance in so many ways. Imbalance all over the park & in the end, we got exactly what we deserved. Said this would be tough all week, I honestly believed that but I couldn’t have predicted such a disappointing display.

@LeGrove I put the blame mainly on Arteta. His in-game management (subs, tactical adjustments) continues to be poor. Doesn't make obvious changes when things aren't working. Sticks to the same approach w/ minor tweaks for too long. This part of his coaching is not good enough.

A squad that gets paid £360m a year should be able to put on a better show than that in an FA Cup quarter final against a Championship side. Some real complacent performances. But also not the focus. Champions League and Premier League is all that has ever mattered this season.

This is an utter embarrassment and a stain on the season for me. You cannot tell the world Arsenal are the best club around and do this abomination in back to back games.

@_PhilCosta Arteta once again fails us with poor in-game management. Failed to make subs or tactical changes at the half. Waited until the 60th minute to make first subs. He dithers, sticks with the plan too long an, and lets things drift too long. He's his one weakness as a manager.

Arteta's in game management is just not good enough. It cost us the Carabao Cup and looks like it will drop us out of the FA Cup. Doesn't proactively address obvious problems. He waits too long to make subs. He needs to greatly improve this aspect of his management.

Need to win this in the next 15 min. Last thing we need is extra time. Why Arteta needed to make the subs at the half. To give more time for comeback to win the game.

Arteta is such a mediocre in-game manager. Should have taken the opportunity to make changes at half-time and give detailed instructions to the new lineup. Wasted the first quarter hour of the 2nd half.
