@thejustinwelsh You can’t go wrong with Sevilla - I was there over the course of 17 years so I’m biased, but it’s a beautifully rich city both visually and culturally with incredible gastronomy. Weather is great there until July kicks off when you’ll just want to be indoors with the air con on

Spanish friends and travelers: We’re headed to Spain for 9 days in late June. Haven’t picked a city yet but looking at San Sebastián, Alicante, Malaga, Sevilla or Grenada. Food, weather, and culture are priorities. Anyone have a strong opinion?

What’s your favourite TV score ever? Mine has to be The Missing by @domscherrer. Both of the series were incredible and the music was absolutely perfect. Interesting instrumentation and incredibly moving throughout.

Did you guys see any good horror movies last month? I saw this Chilean vampire film El Conde. It was in black & White and is very artsy. It turned out to be more a dark comedy than an horror movie. But I still quite liked it. An interresting movie experience for sure.

The garage conversion into my studio is finally done! We have lived here for a whole year and I basically worked without a window for that time. To finally be working in a comfortable space is a relief!

@NoonWithATune Sony Acid was my first DAW on a PC, was great for quick loop-based scoring but I moved on to Logic and a Mac later on (still there now)

What DAW did everyone start out on? Mine was Cakewalk by Sonar when I was about 14, using it on mum and dads super slow laptop. It had the worst latency ever and was basically unusable, but had to battle through it!

After a little delay (!), my soundtrack for Rose: A Love Story is in the queue for release across all major streaming platforms. If you like dark and unsettling scores with evolving soundscapes and sprinklings of live recordings throughout, then stay tuned for the release date.
