But if it is, it might actually explain the fuck-up, as the character sheet for Absolute Catwoman had her skin much lighter (presumably before they decided to change it in the final issue).

@ThatComicFan3 The mess got so big DiDio ended up getting fired and 5G cancelled right before they were going to officially announced it. DC even had to pay up kill fees to writers and artists who were doing work in the line.

@ThatComicFan3 It wasn't just "bigotry from fans" though. Very few people at DC internally liked 5G. Scott Snyder was collecting signatures to pull an "intervention" and stop 5G per Grant Morrison. There was enourmours editorial turnover.

You know I seem to remember a few times now where DC had tried to move time forward and pass the torch but older fans with buckets of cash told them no so they back peddled. There was great ideas coming out of All New All Different Marvel and Future state by bigotry won.

@postbusters2k16 Tbf it's probably what happens when AT&T fires like almost half of DC editorial a year prior and they had to scrap the big shift they were planning (5G) at the last minute

Waller, too, was a synergy push because they thought her show was close to coming out (it still hasn't been greenlit)

@thechrisanton This is pretty much the same as what happened to Peacemaker after his show, he started appearing in everything but DC had little interest in giving him his own material. Synergy pushes are unnatural and they don’t really last long beyond the period where the film or show came out

It's bizarre to me that everyone at DC wants to include Mr. Terrific in their books, but no one seemingly wants to write him in his own solo series.

It's a clear example of DC's hypocrisy and how dispensable they considered this woman. Honestly, Camp could only speak out against Valiant's transphobia because he was no longer under contract.
No major creator has spoken against the firing because their contracts prevent them.
