@jjen_abel 100k isn’t even really enterprise sales. Unless you’re selling a pilot with the expectation it converts at 1m+

it blows my mind that half the market disagrees with me on this ... $10K - $50K/year deals are NOT enterprise sales

@HotForMoot lol at answers. Here’s the real one: Colder engines can't safely rev high. Warmer engine allows higher RPMs with no damage. The red lines recede as it heats, showing safe rev limit.

Is there a good, AI-first, modern (2026) email client? Superhuman was good in 2024. But it feels extremely obsolete today.

Met Daniel Diermeier from Vanderbilt. Very smart and determined guy. Vanderbilt is significantly more prestigious than it was 20 years ago, and it's going to be even more prestigious 20 years from now.

Groceries, airport pickups, car rentals, and boutique hotels are coming to Airbnb, says CEO @bchesky. Soon, guests will be able to have groceries waiting inside their Airbnb, arrange airport pickup in cities where rideshare can be unreliable, rent cars directly through Airbnb, and book boutique or independent hotels with a price-match guarantee.

@julianblacks_ Sorry to hear this. Your wife sounds like an awesome engineer. Hope she builds something great with AI next. Easier than ever to go it alone. Even a modest solo project could match her meta comp & create a lot of value in the world.

This isn't a sob story, we will figure out how to move forward. But this is a wakeup call to everyone wanting to find entry- to mid-level, work in a white collar field. AI is only going to make your job prospects worse.

My wife just got laid off by Meta. We knew the writing was on the wall. But I want to give a little background. Meta a couple months back had a company-wide AI week. During this week Meta halted all day-to-day work and required all employees to familiarize themselves with AI. At the end of the week, each employee was required to have the early stages of an AI tool to be used internally by Meta.

@eastdakota You won the moral victory. No need to kick the guy while he’s down. Pick up the phone and see if you can find a way that you’d be proud to tell your kids you settled the legal fees.

Have a problem I genuinely would love input on. My wife and I own a local newspaper. In our town the police arrested a member of the community for having what they thought were naked pictures of a juvenile on his phone. Held him for days. Turns out, it was his own kid and none of the pictures were sexual. Terrible. Newspaper we own reports on it. Just the facts. Also report on when he’s released and there are no charges. Exactly what local news should do. He sues us and the local radio station, which had also reported on the arrest. We’re like: dude, we just reported the facts. Radio station settles (not sure terms). We push on because we did nothing wrong and the nature of a newspaper is reporting what happened. So we win. No cause of action against the paper. And then we, under statute, get awarded attorneys fees. They amount to tens of thousands of dollars. So what’s the right move? I don’t particularly care about the money. But I do want to discourage other caseless plaintiffs against suing us. Has been a costly distraction. But also seems wrong to bankrupt the guy. Genuinely looking for what to do next…

Observation from talking to many startup recruiters recently (both internal and externally retained ones): there is direct correlation btwn CEOs who don’t respond quickly to candidates (let alone the retained/internal recruiters) and companies that are not doing well. Direct correlation. If you claim to be hiring and aren’t treating your candidates as a top priority (responsiveness, engagement, etc) then you’re just never going to have an A+ team. Sorry.

@StephNass As always it depends. If you had access to anthropic or openai 18m ago, you wouldn’t invest unless Sam or Dario was on the other end? How would your LPs feel about that? Maybe true for your deal flow, but not a universal truth.

@realEstateTrent @DrewCapitalx I read it 3x to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. Not sure what software you’re used to buying but this is pretty standard terms as others have said. 🤷 That said… i my experience is that it’s usually in the boilerplate MSA as a concession that usually gets negotiated out

Dear Unnamed Software Company who just sent me a renewal offer: I've never seen an "Annual CPI + 3%" increase - and I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend that was sent in error. We are going to soon find out how much you actually value this "relationship" I am not in the mood for this game.
