Eddie Howe says “blame me” after derby defeat to Sunderland:
🗣️ “Very painful, painful for supporters. They're the ones I'm thinking of. Very little to use as an excuse. We expect to be criticised so I understand the reaction at the end.
🗣️ “I'm fully committed to the job. I'm disappointed with my delivery today and this week. Today was even tougher than Barcelona.
🗣️ “I absorb the blame — I won't be deflecting it to players until my last breath. It’s going to be a painful few days for me.
🗣️ “It’s not a head loss. Our technical delivery was off today. We missed our midfielders, so it left us unbalanced. We made the game too much like they wanted it.
🗣️ “We never want to go through a hostile reception from crowd. I understand the criticism.”

Elland Road is the only Premier League stadium to match the Stadium of Light's electric atmosphere this season.
That is the view of Sunderland's Luke O'Nien, who was left impressed by Leeds' vocal home support in his side's 1-0 victory on Tuesday night.
Discussing Sunderland's following this season, he said: "It's packed out [the Stadium of Light], even every away end.
“The Leeds atmosphere the other day was special because, I think that the Premier League's been incredible, but the atmosphere hasn't quite matched the level, I'd like to say.
“When you go to a place like Leeds - the game, what it is, it's special. And our fans have been like that since League One."
He continued: “We had 35,000 fans in League One and we're a sell-out in the Premier League.
"So it's special that the fans have always believed in us. They've kept supporting us and I think we're returning that.
“We still have a lot to do, but I think we're returning that, them just staying with us, now with some good performances this season.”

@IyazMan @bamgboyeolu He’s done great the last couple of seasons but there’s players who are streets ahead of him in the squad now. The manager has dropped a bollock selecting him in the position and as captain , but everyone will learn from it. We’re still in a good place in the league
English

@caygs @bamgboyeolu He has dug him out Paul, you’re right, as teammates do. He’s had a shit game today, but he’s done well in the step up on the whole, in my opinion.
English

@IyazMan @bamgboyeolu He hasn’t though, he can’t play as a full back in a 4 because he gets his arse tore out and he’s not a midfielder. He’s being carried through the season because Mukiele is constantly dragging him out of the shit and cleaning up after him.
English

@bamgboyeolu Hume has been very good until today. He doesnt need people turning on him after one bad performance out of position
English

@Ramma_____ Lewis Hall having his arsehole rov clean out of shorts 🤌🤌

🚨 🏃♂️ Alexander Isak is training individually at his former club Real Sociedad's training facilities amid uncertainty over his Newcastle future.
🇪🇸 The former Real Sociedad striker is using the Basque club's facilities when it is empty — with his own staff for recovery from a minor thigh injury.
❓ Isak has informed #NUFC he wants to explore his options this summer following an informal approach from Liverpool.
💰 If Isak was to leave Newcastle, his former club would receive 10 percent of every euro above a €70m transfer fee.
🇸🇪 The striker joined the Spanish club in 2019 from Borussia Dortmund, spending three years at the club.
