P&O Ferries furloughed 1400 of its staff during the pandemic, costing the taxpayer £10m. They also asked us for a £150m bailout. Its parent company then paid out £250m to shareholders. Now pandemic's over, they're sacking the British staff we supported. rmt.org.uk/news/rmt-calls…

The @metpoliceuk officer injured after falling off her horse at London Black Lives Matter protest suffered a broken collar bone, broken ribs and a collapsed lung. She fell after flares and bikes thrown towards her spooked her horse. Wishing her a full and speedy recovery.

In 2020 to question & seek removal of public statues is ok. But a small group deciding they can destroy & deface them is not. Churchill worked with Clement Attlee to stop Hitler's Nazis. Defacing this statue is an insult and does nothing to tackle racism today.

@piersmorgan Ermmm Just slightly different and not really comparable! One family travelling in a car for child care issues to thousands of people congregating in cities across the UK!

I have been reluctant to tweet on this matter because it’s self evident that all lives matter. The debate is ridiculous. But the ridiculous has just become unacceptable. This nonsense must stop. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8…

According to BBC News at Ten 'the officer *knocked herself* off her horse, it bolted into the crowd...' Astonishing take that seems to heap blame on the rider.. the horse was clearly bolting before the traffic light collision... and why might that be?

Home Secretary Priti Patel says the toppling of a statue of slaver Edward Colston in Bristol is "utterly disgraceful" and 'undermines' anti-racism protests. Follow live updates: trib.al/1PHIeVu

People have a right to protest peacefully & while observing social distancing but they have no right to attack the police. These demonstrations have been subverted by thuggery - and they are a betrayal of the cause they purport to serve. Those responsible will be held to account.
