We’re speaking of parents’ engagement in their child’s teaching and learning. That happens often in many out of school times and places. As families talk, play games, do, household chores, engage in cultural activities, go places or do things together, teaching & learning happen.

When #educators enter a community, they're entering a place with relationships, culture, and a history that began before they arrived. They're entering as guests. To welcome #parents to a #school means that staff members open the door as hosts who recognize they are also guests.

Yesterday we announced our more than $1 billion investment in Queensland kindy services. It’s going to make kindy cheaper or free for 40,000 families – that’s 70% of families that have kids at kindy. 🖍
