The imaging pipeline for the new 8 band satellite Planet just announced was my primary focus for about the last two years. These images look like instantaneous captures but they're actually tightly registered composites from dozens of frames.

@BayAreaNewLibs there are 2ish good blocks: Hayes from Laguna to Gough. If you live in an apt there it's probably close to Oak, Fell, Octavia, Van Ness or Market. Unfortunately it's loud and unhealthy to inhale car pollution.

tip for people moving into SF: do not pay more rent for a fancy new apartment complex in Hayes/soma/mission bay. go to Alamo square/duboce/Dolores instead. unfortunately we have not legalized/successfully built new apartments in good neighborhoods yet

@elkelk I don't board early, but no one has mentioned the real reason it's unfortunately optimal - it minimizes time spent in the jet bridge line. If you wait at gate chair until the last min you always end up standing in line and that's less fun than being settled
