The fact that the EU has failed to use frozen russian assets for Ukraine — while also failing to mobilize other funding — will be one of Europe's greatest strategic mistakes. Dear @CanRevAgency, This person lives in Canada, most probably under "Temporary protection status" and receiving benefits from the Government of Canada. 1. He/she scamming people by spreading fake story about "injured veteran" during the War in Ukraine. Which is partially true, but it happened back in 2014. 2. He/she already collected approximately $70k, but I believe the amount is even bigger. I believe it is a crime according to Canadian law. 3. I’m saying this because I’m Ukrainian, and I’m ashamed that scammers like this person are disgracing my country and the honor of our soldiers. For Ukraine, Iran’s efforts to block freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz ring a bell. In 2022, Russia did the same in the Black Sea: blocked maritime trade trying to strangle Ukraine’s economy and achieve political and military goals. Ukraine found a solution back then. We unblocked freedom of navigation in the Black Sea by our own means, without caving in to the terrorist state’s ultimatums. This is yet another area in which Ukraine possesses unique expertise, knowledge, and a technological edge that no other country has. We support all international efforts to restore freedom of navigation in the strategic Strait of Hormuz. As a country that suffered from similar terror, we demand respect for fundamental principles of UNCLOS. It is also in Ukraine’s best interest to have global markets stabilized as soon as possible. Our position is clear: terror must be confronted with decisive action.
