@trelyday23 11 season of bWAR higher than 2.0 with only 3 below.9 of 14 seasons above league average using OPS+. Advanced stats can always be twisted to help the user’s narrative. Regardless, 300 HR in a notoriously pitcher friendly park with 5 GGs and a ring. Pretty solid HOF resume

@cbahl22 Six seasons as a below league average hitter. More seasons with an fWAR below 1.0 than above 2.0. Noted horrible defender even in his GG years. Still has not even reached 20 career fWAR. Tyler Flowers has not played a game since 2020 and still has more WAR than him

Notice how none of this conversation centered around Perez actually being good on the field. Just simply that he’s a really great guy in the clubhouse and he absolutely is! There’s just no argument to be made in terms of on the field performance for the HOF

Fall ball is here! Made it to the semifinals with @Prime27_17 in our first tournament, but caught a lot of solid barrels going 9 for 11 with 3 hr, 3 doubles, and 3 singles! I had a few solid defensive plays aswell!Looking forward to next tournament! @PrepBaseballKS

Add in injuries to Cole Ragans, Lucas Erceg, Michael Lorenzen, Kris Bubic, Seth Lugo, Alec Marsh, Daniel Lynch it’s just an added layer of difficulty many other managers wouldn’t have navigated so well imo.
