@DallasSweet @CoachKBooth We’ve noticed that whenever club VB starts, there’s a definite downward trend in our basketball season, our girls have to travel 1.5 hrs one way on weeknights, something has to give.

Shortening the club season, not starting in Dec/Jan, would eliminate that dreaded district basketball/club volleyball conflict you didn’t like as a mom, and I am guessing you also dislike as a college coach. As a high school AD the club volleyball season seems to cause some girls to give up on basketball, and helping their school / community much earlier than needed.

I strongly believe the length of youth VB club seasons need to be shortened, but will need to be a grassroots effort to get this changed. If you agree, please contact your region, national governance or your club. It won’t happen immediately, but I believe we can get there.
