⚠️TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Motorists are advised that Trans-Canada Highway is currently closed in both directions two (2) kilometres west of the Long Harbour exit, due to a motor vehicle collision. Motorists are asked to avoid the area and to exercise patience as Whitbourne-Placentia RCMP respond to the scene. Updates will be provided.

UPDATE: (Wednesday December 3, 2025 at p.m.) Harbour Grace RCMP is pleased to confirm that the two missing youths - 14-year-old and 8-year-old - reported missing earlier today, have been located and are safe. RCMP thanks the media and the public for their concern and assistance.

📣 Traffic Advisory: Gander RCMP is currently responding to a tractor trailer blocking the westbound lane of the Trans-Canada Highway east of Gander, in the area of Square Pond Hill. One lane of traffic is passable but road conditions are hazardous, quickly deteriorating and visibility is low. ⚠️ While the TCH is passable, motorists should expect delays and are asked to drive with extreme caution and patience. Please consider delaying any immediate travel. If you must travel, please exercise caution and patience and drive according to road and weather conditions. Remember — snow means slow! ❄️

Harbour Grace RCMP asking for assistance locating two overdue youths in Western Bay Trinty Conception District RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Cameron Rowe and 8-year-old Hunter Lee. RCMP officers and Ground Search and Rescue crews are deploying to the Conception Bay North, as the pair were last seen near Western Bay Line. Rowe and Lee were last seen on Wednesday December 3, 2025 at approximately 10:00 a.m. outside a residence in the Western Bay Line area. The weather conditions have deteriorated since they departed and the two have not yet returned back home. Pictures of Cameron Rowe and Hunter Lee are attached. Police and the families of both boys are very concerned for their safety and well-being and are asking anyone with any information about their current location to contact 911 or Harbour Grace RCMP immediately at 709-596-5014.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Holyrood RCMP advises that both Westbound lanes of the TCH near Brigus Junction are currently closed to traffic as police respond to a motor vehicle collision. Motorists are advised to use the Avondale Access Road as an alternate route. Updates will be provided when available.

A section of Robert E. Howlett Memorial Drive (aka the Southern Shore Highway) is closed in the area of Bay Bulls Big Pond as officers respond to a collision involving a dump truck. The highway is expected to be closed in both directions for several hours. Avoid the area.
