We propose that blast fungus lineages infecting wild grasses act as genetic reservoirs of clonal and pandemic lineages that afflict cereal crops (9/9) 🌱🌾

Together, we show that horizontal mini-chromosome transfer is occurring in the blast fungus under field conditions, and this facilitates genetic exchange among host-associated lineages (8/9)
